The Association
About us
Founded in 2017, the non-profit association feinkunst e.V. manages the artistic estate of the artist Hannes Malte Mahler, who died in an accident on July 18, 2016. The purpose of the association is to preserve the works of the universal artist and make them accessible to the public. Despite its young existence, Feinkunst e.V. can already boast a wide range of exhibition activities. In addition to exhibitions of works from its own collection, a permanent cooperation with the Sprengel Museum Hannover has been initiated, in which young artists, curated by a volunteer from the Sprengel Museum Hannover, exhibit once a year in the feinkunst rooms. In addition, artistic companions of Hannes Malte Mahler are presented in the companionsHMM series, most recently Alexander Steig, Timm Ulrichs, Matten Vogel and Birgit Streicher.
Exhibition room
In addition to compiling a catalog raisonné of the artist's work, the association's premises offer a space of around 250 m2 for changing exhibitions in which works by Mahler and other artists are exhibited. Works by Hannes Malte Mahler himself are permanently on display in the hallway, which are changed at regular intervals and show the artist's artistic spectrum. There is also a Mahlerwear store, where Mahler's original art project at the Kunstverein Hannover is continued. Mahlerwear can also be created, ordered and collected here outside of the exhibition periods. Recently, our exhibition catalogs are also for sale here.
